AI: i just don’t find it interesting at all. but i am equally bored by the rabid anti-AI people.

keeping web pages under some arbitrary size: e.g.: the 1MB club, the 512kb club, the 250kb club, the 10kb club and the 1kb club. see also the no CSS club and the no JS club.

web nostalgia: why are so many people making websites that look like they are from the 90s/early 00s? it’s cute i guess but we have enough of those now. there is a famous angry blog post about this.

making personal websites to fight capitalism or whatever: the yesterweb seems to have fallen apart because the people in charge wanted to combine their interest in maoism with their hobby of making websites. unfortunately it’s not that deep. you will not bring about the proletarian revolution through HTML.
